There will be a new route - 16 - that will shuttle riders between the Stratford railroad station and the Trumbull Corporate Park. GBT operates 55 buses on about 20 routes. The Coastal Link route, it's most popular, won't be affected, but there will be changes to routes 8, 10, 13, 14, 18 and 23. Most of the changes will be felt on the No. 8 route, which now travels between Bridgeport's Black Rock and the Westfield Trumbull mall. Holcomb said that Route 8 will be split into two routes. 8 bus will travel exclusively north and south on Main Street, between downtown Bridgeport and the mall. 5, which will travel between downtown and Black Rock, serving the P.T. "So essentially, we'll be splitting up the north-south and east-west portions of the No. 8 bus," Holcomb said, noting that the Main Street segment of the route has nearly the highest ridership of any GBT route. Route 8: To be split into two routes, one providing service between the bus station and the Westfield Trumbull mall on Main Street, the other providing service to P.T. The Main Street route would be called the "Route 8," while the Black Rock service would be called "Route 5". Route 8 will continue to operate with 20-minute frequency on weekdays and the Route 5 would operate a 30-minute schedule on weekdays with 20-minute service during rush hours. will not extend to the Black Rock Cinemas and will end at P.T. Saturday service on the Route 8 would not change while 30-minute service will be provided on Route 5. Route 10: Separated into two routes, one providing service from Fairfield Woods to the Stratford train station and one providing local service from Woodend Road to the Hawley Lane mall, which would be called "Route 16". Route 16 service would begin as a shuttle providing service from the Stratford train station to Trumbull Corporate Park and from Hawley Lane Mall to TCP (two trips). Following these morning trips it would operate as a local service along the same route at 10 today.

Service to Lordship would be discontinued. Route 13: Weekday service would be changed from 30 minutes to 60 minutes during the midday between the 9:50 a.m. Route 14: GBT is considering eliminating one of the Trefoil Drive (in Trumbull) deviations.

This would result in the bus traveling on Trefoil Drive on the outbound trip (toward Monroe McDonalds) in the morning and, beginning at 12:30, making this deviation only on the inbound trip. Consideration is also being given to the elimination of a mid-day trip (1:16 p.m.) leaving a gap in the schedule between the 12:23 trip and the 2:16 trip. Route 18: Elimination of the last trip from Trumbull mall (4:53 p.m.).
